Rob Zombie's "31" Acquired by Saban
Saban Films has acquired North American rights to Rob Zombie’s 31 from the financially troubled Alchemy and plans for a release date in September 2016.
Starring Sheri Moon Zombie and Malcolm McDowell, the picture was written and directed by Rob Zombie and is about a group of carnival workers that are kidnapped and taken to a hell-like compound where they are forced to play a series of sadistic games, trying to survive against a gang of evil clowns.
“31 is a treat not just to horror fans, but fans of true auteur filmmaking,” said Bill Bromiley, Saban Films’ president. “The film is executed in true stylistic Zombie fashion. Rob is an unrivaled talent, and we are thrilled to bring his bold new film to audiences across the continent.”
