The New Trailer for Rings has dropped and it looks creepy as hell. This Paramount distributed film was previously known as Rings 3D and is helmed by F. Javier Gutiérrez. Starring Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe, and Johnny Galecki, the story centers around a young woman who’s boyfriend is enamored by the subculture that exists around the mysterious video, that after watching it, the viewer only has seen days to live. And, according to Wikipedia, “there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen before...”
What can we expect out of this latest installment? I’m not sure, just by watching the trailer. There‘s a lot of backstory that looks like it’s going to be repeated from the first film; but this sequel looks to be adding more thrills, like the airline sequence. However, If I'm to be completely honest ( and what else would I be to my loyal readers?), this looks to be the same story as the first. Ultimately, the main character is trying to solve the mystery of the Samara and the tape to save a loved one. Maybe I'm wrong though. Are you excited about this film, or will it, like several summer films this year, fail to leave a mark? Will Samara be in 3D? That would be creepy! But, I have a feeling I will have to bribe Haley to go with me!
