Bringing Horror Home- Never Hike Alone Comes to Home Video!

Sometimes a fan film is so good it deserves to be included in canon. Womp Stomp’s original Friday the 13th tribute, Never Hike Alone is arguably one of the best installments in the series in twenty years and deserves a spot in every fan’s library. The tale of a YouTubing hiker who wanders off the beaten track and into the remnants of Camp Crystal Lake is a combinations of subgenres encompassed by horror. A combination found footage and traditional 3rd person POV with elements of survival horror and traditional slasher tropes, it’s a masterpiece worth of the Friday the 13th name.

And starting March 15th at 12pm Easter (9am Pacific) you can get a copy of this one of a kind film for your collection. Part of Womp Stomp Films’ new IndieGoGo campaign is to bring home the horror of Never Hike Alone with a special DVD & Bluray release of the film. For as little as $20 you can get your very own copy of this phenomenal slasher. Like any good crowdfunding campaign the incentives increase in coolness with each level.

As for the money being spent by fans, producer/director Vincente DiSanti has made it clear from the start that Never Hike Alone is a passion project with a social conscience. The breakdown of funds goes something like this: 10% to order processing, 25% to packaging and shipping, and the remaining 65% to production of the dvd, bluray, and limited VHS release with any remaining funds that aren’t absorbed in the creation of this incredible release going to United Way’s Thomas Fire Victim Relief Fund.

Released to the world on Friday October 13, 2017 to rave reviews and a skeptical but quickly won over fan base, Never Hike Alone is suspenseful, intriguing, and scary as hell. I’ll be kicking in $20 come this Friday to get myself a copy and you should think about doing it too. With rumors flying that Warner Bros. may be done with the franchise the future of a major studio producing new installments of the murder and mayhem filled B slasher that defined the genre is in question. Independent studios and fans are going to be the future for Jason and so many other horror properties in the years to come. Now is your chance to get involved.

Start stalking the IndieGoGo page now and bring home a copy of Never Hike Alone for yourself.
